GTA 6 wanted system: six stars, some of them hollow
Wanted goes back to six stars for the first time since GTA IV. The new piece is the hollow star: police are looking, but they do not have a confirmed description yet. Change clothes, swap cars, put on a mask. Jason and Lucia can also split up to split the response.
Six stars
GTA V capped at five. IV went to six. VI goes back to six, with NOOSE-style units at the top. That is in the Extended Look at about 14:00, not a datamine.
Hollow stars
A hollow star means they are looking and they do not have you yet: no confirmed description. Changing clothes, swapping vehicles, or putting on a mask can drop the heat. It turns the wanted meter into a stealth / identity problem, not only a chase meter.
Two bodies, one meter
Jason and Lucia can split. The police response can split with them. Switching mid-chase is the other half of the same idea. More of that system: Extended Look breakdown.
